I am so excited...I actually had a little time to make a card. My stash is shrinking by the minute. I have been able to find enough time each week to see a few cards in the gallery and to post my favs. But, free time is similar to my scale...for weeks I will be 5 pounds heavier, and then for no reason I will be 5 pounds lighter. I used to have time to make more cards, and now I am lucky to make one, and there does not seem to be a real reason for the lack of free time. The CC colors were wonderful this week, the F4A challenge to use designer paper made me stretch a little, and the MIX challenge to use something fluffy nearly sent me over the edge. It is hard to see, but the butterflies have velvet effect white dots, and the teal butterfly has some fuzzy stuff on her wings. TFL, Franvie

I'm totally in awe of what you've done with today's card, Francie. It's alive with brilliant color and all your panels look incredible together. Wow, I love your coloring, your BFs and those leaves. I just love everything about this work of art. So sorry you're not able to find time to create more than one card a week. That will change, and when it does, we'll all be awaiting your wondrous and imaginative creations.
Thank you so much for the beautiful card you sent me, Francie. Your words were kind and sensitive and so greatly appreciated. Thank you so much. What a great card. I can frame it and bring it out numerous times throughout the year: New Year's Eve, July 4th, Memorial Day, Easter, 1st day of Spring, 1st day of Summer and just about any day I consider a holiday. It will work beautifully. I really love your work and I couldn't be happier with having one of your monumental works of art in my own hands. Hugs

Oops - I'm away from home, and I had to remember my password and log in so I could leave a comment! You've reminded me that I used to have some velvet effect paint - I remember making samples for DH to give to customers. But not as pretty as this! Your pair of butterflies are just so pretty, the white dots really make the wings pop. And I always love all your backgrounds...I still have a Christmas card from you beside my desk, on one of the speakers, and still look at the background in wonder.
