A big congrats to Kathy, the newest Featured Stamper! What a big, beautiful gallery she has! I chose THIS to case. I kept the colors & oval, but I used different images, an embossing folder instead of a die & turned mine horizontal.
I had the white frame already embossed & in my stash, so I die cut 3 of each size of Aster then sponged 1 of each size w/ the stonewashed ink. The centers for all flowers were made by cutting a strip of white (about 1/2″ wide) & using fringing scissors all down one side. Then I used tweezers to roll it up. The longer the strip, the bigger around it will be. Added a drop of glue to the end, removed the tweezers & fluffed a little. Then I sponged just the tips & added them to the flower centers.
I added white leaves & fronds from the other dies, then die cut the ovals. I used the denim ink to stamp the Wishing on the oval & also the rest of the greeting on a separate piece.
Congrats again, Kathy! Happy New Year! Closeups & the inside are on my blog: The Write Stuff

Julie, you always make such stunning cards! I love how you have used such lovely blue and white to die cut your flower! And the subtle pattern on your background paper layers adds some wonderful texture to your creation. Lovely! Thanks for playing in my gallery!
