A big congrats to Jenney, the newest Featured Stamper! I had a lot of fun browsing her gallery & chose THIS to case. I mostly kept the layout but used different images & colors & moved the 3 doodads from a line to the corners.
I used Copics to color the image, then I over stamped w/ Versafine. I had some rusty barn red card stock that I had spritzed with bleach & it looked really good w/ the colors in the image so I used it for the framing.
To make the white frames, I die cut using the Double Stitched Rectangles, Rectangles & the largest Double Stitched Circle for the opening around the image. I trimmed off the edges a bit on the smaller rectangle using one of the matting basics because I wanted a bit of the red to show though then I attached the larger frame on top along w/ the greeting circles & a few Candi dots.
Congrats again, Jenney! Closeups & the inside are on my blog: The Write Stuff

Julie this is so pretty. My grandmother while growing up, her father ran a mill like this, they called it, 'The Hawkins Mill'. There is only one left here in NW Arkansas that I know of that still runs and sells flours and things of that nature. These always have such a sweet memory for me.

The stitched die cut pieces make this card, even more, elegant! Your coloring is beautiful and the bleached cardstock looks fabulous! I want to remember this trick!!
