It has been a while since I made a card but I had a little time to make one today. Every since DH retired in 2014, I been spending more time with him and less time in the craft room. I still need to get more organized and hope this winter to get some of it done.
Thank you Audrie for yet another great inspiration site. As soon as I saw this phone purse I knew what I wanted to try making a Gift Card holder with the Turnlock Closure. The butterfly was an easy choice to use because it can fold up, but I wanted to do a Christmas one also. I found the Peppermint Candy which worked just as well. I used a die from the Your Next Stamp Summer Fun Die set that was just the size I needed for the slot. You can also try using an I from an alphabet set. The candy is attached to a brad so you can turn it, fold the candy in half and slide it through the slot to open the Gift Card Holder. I used a scoreboard to score a quilted pattern to match the purse.
Thanks for looking

Oh Irene your cards are spectacular. Despite having been away too long, you can still pick up where you left off. So glad you're spending time w/your DH. Life can change in a heartbeat, literally, so enjoy your time together. Crafting will always be here. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving and looking forward to an even better Christmas.
