My poinsettia card is for today's IC522 challenge. Audrie took us to the Vera Bradley webstore for inspiration and wow, is there a lot of it! I chose this tote as my inspiration. I focused on some of the colors and the detailed design, similar to my stamp.
Love this IO poinsettia stamp. It was a challenge for me to color because with so many lines and shapes and details, I wasn't exactly sure where one thing ended and another began. Hee! I used the following SU colors:
Pretty in Pink
Regal Rose
Strawberry Slush
Rich Razzleberry
Certainly Celery
Always Artichoke
Barely Banana
So Saffron
Apricot Appeal
Distressed the edges, pad to paper, with Ranger distress tea dye.
Adhered word with Ranger glossy accents fitted with a Quilled Creations precision tip glue applicator. IF you don't have these precision tips for your .5 oz bottles of glossy accents you're making your crafty life harder. Hee! They are the "Kings" of applying small embellishments to your cards! And ... they work for all mediums that aren't real thick. One of the best "tools" I've invested in.
Thanks for looking and Happy Stamping!

You did a wonderful job coloring the image, Gabby. I can almost see VB in it. ;) The fact that the words are the same color as the border really ties all the elements together. Thanks for sharing this at Addicted to Stamps and More. Bobby
