Today's WT is to do an ombre effect on a card. I used the sponge method, but took it a step further. After I sponged the gradient color, I misted an EF and pressed it on the panel which gave the stripes. After that was dry, I spattered the panel with some water droplets. Finally I stamped and embossed the palm fronds. The tiger was stamped, colored and cut out.
We own a 49 yr-old Sunbeam Tiger....a British sports car, and belong to a national club. I like to send b'day cards to male friends in that group which either have a depiction of their own car or have a tiger as the main theme. The inside of the card reads..."It's better to wear out than rust out. Happy Birthday"...which is apropos for these cars as well as their owners. The V-8 engine has a "roar".....how the car got its name.

I love that background, Sallie - and wow, the ef ghost stamping shows up so well - and adds so much! What a fun tradition you have with themed cards for your club friends.
