Trying our challenge for Ways to Use it (WT539): grids or tiles. A while back I saw this technique for a faux tile look here and loved the look so I thought I would try it today. Using my scor-pal I scored the lines in both directions. Then used 3 colors to sponge ink in each section: peach, poppy and mustard seed. I masked with 2 post-its for each section to make sure my sponging stayed in the right section. I think the rest is pretty straightforward.

This IS an amazing card!!! A real eye catcher. The colors you chose are exciting! What a wonderful contrast with the black and white. Absolutely Outstanding! Love it!
Lovely technique, Maura! Great sponging, super colors and I love the black silhouette of the branch too. Thanks for playing at ATSM #152 MYM. Melissa - DT

Fabulous sponging - it reminds me a little of the look of the pillow-top technique. I love the contrast of the black silhouetted branch against the warm colours.
