My personal aim this weekend was to make the remaining two Christmas cards I need for my April quota, and I couldn't see anything in the range of pins available for non-Pinterest members to see that would help me towards that goal. But - when I got upstairs, and had already pulled out the poinsettia stamps, red vellum and snowflake ef, I turned the computer on and looked at the thumbs Audrie had picked out for us - and when I saw the third one, I was up and running. I know this isn't a traditional Christmas card, but my sister loves Paris as much as I do, and it will be perfect for her. I switched out the red roses in the inspiration photo for red poinsettia.
Embossed the card, masked off the embossed part and stamped the Eiffel Tower in Pumice Stone. Originally I then sponged the light just inside the masked area, but it looked weird, so I carried on sponging right out to the edge in a sort of Faux Patina effect. The holly leaves were cut from a scrap of beautiful fabric paper, I wanted something delicate that would go with the embossed vellum. I think I need to add a couple more gems up in the top left corner, carrying on up from the poinsettias - but it's time to go and make lunch!
