A great sketch to work with today! The early edition paper was lightly washed with a mix of Copic opaque white paint and water. After it dried I stamped and masked the flowers using Eclipse Masking Paper. Colored with Prisma Pencils.
I used DMC Cotton Perle to tie around the band. It is similar to bakers twine but has a richer look and feel. I get this at Michaels and love the way it ties, the sheen, the thickness of it and the huge variety of colors. It is not embroidery floss but you can find it right next to the floss. And it is cheap!
Thanks for taking a look today!

Becky, this one is going RIGHT in to favorites! I love the stamping and your awesome coloring on newsprint! That must have taken some time to color all that in such a beautiful, well blended way.

Beautiful card. I love the white wash on the DP. The flowers look so good stamped on it too. I love perle cotton too and use it with lots of my stitching projects (hardanger and canvas work) and I agree about the richer softer feel of it. Thanks for the reminder to use it more often on my cards.

Oh, Becky, this is beautiful, and I love the white-washed newsprint and the beautiful flower! And the pearl cotton is a wonderful touch! Another beauty, my sweet friend! Hugs!

Your white washed background gives a fabulous look to this! As many others have mentioned your colouring is out of this world. I would think it would not have been too easy to get that beautiful blended look on top of newsprint. Splendid card. I love it!
