I also tried a few techniques showcased this week on SCS:
MIX69 - Faux Tile
TLC482 - Using Embossing Folders to stamp
Mix 69 is all about the faux tile technique. At first, I found that blue painter's tape damaged my watercolor paper. Not having any other types of tape, I decided to use an ef to make lines. I covered the ef in Versamark, and then I used SU! white ep.
TLC482 was to use an ef as your stamp - I used a CB folder as my stamp before I embossed the paper with another ef.
I also used a water color wash on my die cut before removing it from the SB die (a good way to use up the extra watercolor paint), and added some frantage to add more interest to my base panel.
Fun, fun, fun! Who knew I could have so much fun with a $9 watercolor set and my old efs!
Congrats Peggy! I have been a true admirer of your work for a long time and love your very sweet and meaningful gallery comments. Enjoy today! Hugz!

I LOVED reading your details of the making of this amazing case! And kudo's to you for being able to cover three different challenges..and doing it with such charm and creativity. I REALLY love the texture you achieved and it is so incredible that you wet embossed the stamped EF...HOW COOL is that???? This is just delightful and I am sure it will as inspiring to others as it is to me! Thank you for honoring my FS gallery with this amazing card.

Clever adjustment for the faux tile! I love the soft colors and garden feel with those pretty flowers. Thanks so much for playing the Mix-ability challenge!
