After taking the watercolor class I thought the least I could do was try it. After spending an evening trying to color this I decided to try my hand at splatter. Needless to say it hit the trash. I will definitely need work on splatter. The next morning I retrieved it and took colored pencils to it. Well, it's not a Picasso but it's passable. Thanks for stopping by

If this is just passable, I would love to see what you consider beautiful! I love this! Perfect rose, perfect BG - it doesn't get any better in my opinion.

Wow I think this is gorgeous! The overall soft hue of this card makes is very romantic. This rose is stunning and your colouring is wonderful. I like the addition and placement of the pearls.

Nice save!! I think the flower is lovely and so are the splatters! I know what you mean about the water color techniques. I'm finding the learning curve is pretty steep - but love other people's attempts!

O.K, if you could see the things in my trash can from MY watercolor attempts you would SO be patting yourself on the back for this beauty. When I opened it I actually exclaimed "WOW" out loud!!! This has a soft romantic beauty to it and your layers and frames ROCK not to mention the actual coloring of that beautiful rose. Your splatters... doesn't get much better... and your accompanying back ground panel brings out the beauty of your rose even MORE! We are ALL happy you retrieved this and brought it to the gallery for us all to enjoy...It flew RIGHT into my faves...
