My friend and I played with foil when doing the altered boxes. Since we had great difficulty with Ranger foil tearing we headed to the grocery to purchase heavy duty aluminum foil. I applied alcohol ink then crumpled it. It was adhered to light weight cardstock. I lightly rubbed some black paint over it for some depth, then applied Inka Gold in silver over the top bumps for more shine. The cattails were cut with impression obsession dies. The tips of the cattails were cut from wood veneer and adhered to the foil die cuts. The dragon fly was cut twice, once one from black and once from blue foil. I pieced the wings on the black die cut. Using scraps of green, I cut a mat from white and added 1/2" strips to the sides of the mat, saving the green prepared foil for other projects. Thanks for a great challenge and thanks for stopping by.

Your foil looks fabulous, Nancy. I love the metallic rubs, don't you? I have some cattails dies and never used them. I need to remedy that. Beautiful card. Pretty dragonfly, too.

Nancy, this is TOTALLY AMAZING!! The crumpled foil looks gorgeous, and the wood worked perfectly for the cattails. I love the paper pieced dragonfly with those fabulous wings! I would add it to my favorites more than once if I could!
