After Sheri dealt with a busted water valve and 2” of water flooding the floor, she was still able to give us a fun story about a little fish called Namo (cousin to Nemo). The Sisterhood of the Traveling Teaparty are sending sunshine, smiles and “fish” – preferably purple and blue ones, to young Emily of Webster, Texas, introduced to us by SCSer JodyLynn.
Here we have Meredith Mermaid and two little googly eyed trout. I have tried to make the background look like an underwater scene. I sprayed blue and teal Dylusions ink spray onto a large sheet of aluminium foil, spritzed a little bit of water on the inks before swishing white cardstock on the foil. I kept swishing the cardstock around until I had the desired coverage.
After the cardstock was completely dry I sponged similar coloured distress inks at random. Next step was to spray white Dylusions ink over the entire cardstock. The purple part on Meredith and the little purple fish were done with the same method. The blue part of Meredith had extra water sprayed on the cardstock after the ink swishing process.
Meredith started out life as a Prima – Julie Nutting doll stamp. No prizes for guessing I handmade the fish LOL. I was going to give Meredith a little diamante navel ring, but I remembered in time that Emily is in the 6th grade. Sheri suggested little brown Chihuahuas on our cards, but I thought a little dog floating at the bottom of the sea might be a bit traumatic.
Thank you for looking and have a great week everyone.

I was thinking of doing a puppy chiwawa....lol...always get mixed up spelling that one..have pics of other dogs but not that one so will have to stick with fishies..I love your little mermaid scene and your cute little fishies. Great job with the water and outfits with the spritzing...I am still trying to figure out a fishy scene...maybe I bet Merideth will be able to help find Namo....Off to paly with paper...TFs..:0)
