I didn't have a chance to make a second card for the CAS neutrals only challenge and this was more what I had in mind when Jen allowed me to pick the challenge this week. I love mixing the warm browns and adding burlap or twine to the mix!
I started out my grunging up my Vanilla background piece with the various spatters stamping without reinking. I then sponged along the edges of this panel. I couldn't find my Early Espresso pad, so I used Versamark and embossed with EE ep instead then fussy cut my coffee cup. I then stamped my dp and fussy cut the coffee sleeve. I ran this through the crimper for extra texture though I flattened it out mostly to fill the space on the coffee cup. For my circle elements I punched the large circle out of the backside of the dp and sponged the edges. I punched a smaller circle in Espresso. I framed with Early Espresso and added my chunky twine (I get this at the hardware store). I used a glue dot to hold the bow in place and popped this whole panel over my Crumb Cake base. I stamped and embossed my sentiment then thought the card was a bit lop-sided so I added a piece of burlap to balance things out.

I love this Gail. Not only is it a great design, but it so reminds me of someone (like me) who has the jitters and splashed their coffee before taking that first sip of the day.

I love neutrals too and find them easy to work with.....grunging up a card is a different story....love it when others do it, but can't get the hang of it myself. I love your card!!
