Hello my friends,
I took part of a calendar to make this, also made my own checked black and white by gluing black strips(1/2) every 1/2" then cutting those every 1/2" and alternating.Made my grandson Jordan, a black and white checked tie that way for his 8th grade graduation. It was a hit! He did a drum solo and he "looked the part"!!
I fussy cut my flower and that little bee above it! Yes, I am a nut! I don't know why I picked October but maybe because my daughter's B.D. is on the 31st.

Thanks for sharing how you made your grid, Robin. I've usually painted mine when I need one, but that sounds such a neat idea, I'm definitely going to try it. And I simply love that big happy sunny sunflower set against the grid - so effective. This will brighten someone's day for sure.
