I love me a pretty door especially if it has a unique wreath on it. One of my customers has the coolest door ever. In fact, I took a photo of it and he used it on his wedding invitations. How cool is that!....my card...
Stopped by Ace Hardware in between pools today and bought me some wire. I wrapped it around a pencil, slid it off, flatten the circles then shaped it into a circle to use are a wreath. It looked really cool.
When I got home, I made a larger one and embellished it. I punched circles out of a gelli print I had put on a telephone bk page then glued them to the wire. Once I was satisfied with the circles I put on more glue then sprinkled with fine glitter.
Went outside and picked a few leaves from the tree. I saw a You Tube where a lady put Mod Podge on the front and back of the leaves and they stay shiny for a long time. So I Mod Podged my leaves, let them dry then put them on my wreath. Set aside.
Cut out some cardboard for my door, gessoed it, then put ink pad to it so it would look distressed. Drew on the little squares for an interesting design. Set aside.
On my kraft card, I scored lines to look like a house, then again put ink pad right to it so it added the color.
Made a doorknob by gluing several circles together putting a gelli print one on top.
Put the wreath on the door with a brad. Glued on the doorknob then put the door on the house/card. Splattered white paint with a toothbrush to make it look like snow.
Well I sure had some fun today. Hope you have fun reading what I did. hehe Have a great evening all. TFL :0)

This makes me think of rings of oranges and lemons, and those wonderful wreaths made with all things spicy and sweet and good to eat. Way to go, Cathy - you rocked this. I'll have to come back after work and take a closer look at it.

What a gosh darn amazing card! It looks edible almost. Love the details you shared on its creation. I would never in a million years get out of my rut to produce the beauties you do. TFS
