Our Teapot Tuesday cards are going to Foxy67Â’s (Pat) family friend, Peggy. I hope our cards help bring some sunshine to Peggy and let her know she is in our thoughts.
Marie gave us a great story this week. It is set in a town called Wobegone MN, where all the women are strong, all the men are good looking and the children are above average. Sounds like Teapotterville hey!!
Marge and Sven Olsen have organised a community drive through the peaceful village to remind everyone how beautiful their town is. The ladies from Teapotterville have chipped in to help, they have flown their hot air balloon to assist. Everything in Wobegone is beautiful, even old jalopies abandoned in the bush have flowers growing from them.
For a bit of a change I thought I would make a double stairstep card (I even make myself laugh sometimes). The hero of this card is the paper, the hot air balloon was at the very top and the old floral jalopy was at the very bottom edge. I kept the strip at the bottom of the DP so I could tell you what brand it is, I put it in a safe place. As soon as I find said “safe place” I shall edit this post and let you now!!
I jazzed up the dp by colouring the dark pink, yellow, orange and green areas with Zig Swish of Stella brushes. I have worked out that these brushes are great on small areas. I added lots of liquid pearls and little punched flowers. The tree is made with a skeleton leaf as the base (stuck on acetate) and covered with a gazillion leaf punches.
Nothing drastic happened this week, no stamps or people were harmed in the making of thisÂ…I knowÂ…I canÂ’t believe it either. I did however put a big thumb print of ink on the right hand side, I fixed that by putting the cloud on its side. Job sorted. I am not too sure how the feather will stand up to 2 weeks squished in an envelope!!
Thank you for looking and have a wonderful week everyone.

I am really speechless...this card is such a work of the heART. And YOU're the one who was a recent Queenfor theDay...I had been gone for quite some time and I remember strolling through your gallery and thinking that casing you would require some serious pondering (which I still intend to do). And then I read about us being neighbors in the gallery today and then I kept looking for you in the Color Challenge...and you were meaning the general gallery. I will look forward to finding a card to case, Susie and yes what were the odds of landing next to each other two days in a roll...wanna go for three??? At least we share the same ocean!!!
What an amazing ARTist you are!

This is wonderful as usual. I'm glad to hear that you love those pens as I was thinking of buying them and couldn't decide if I really needed them. Glad to hear this card was calamity free. I think we should all tell what our worst calamity was for next week.

Unbelievable! I had to study this one for 5 minutes. I can't believe the detail and how fabulous it turned out. Just a feast for the eyes. I love that you enhanced the designer paper too. This is fabulous. Now I have to look up and see what a Stella brush is!

My idea was to save the best till last, and leave this as the last card to comment on before lights out.
But since I've just done an extra half gallery mod shift, maybe that wasn't such a good idea because now I'm too tired to truly take in all your wonderful details, Susie! I'll be back in the morning to take a more close look, but I can tell you I love that hot-air balloon and flowers, but even more I love that dainty delicate greenery. Using a skeleton leaf as a base for it - that's genius!! We are always delighted to have volunteer hostesses for Tickle a Teapotter Tuesdays. All you need is an idea for a theme and a picture of a teapot to suit it.
