Today for the TLC, Joan gave us an excellent idea to make our own stencils. At first I thought, okay, stamp or draw something then carefully cut it out. NOT! She suggested we use punches. Way cool idea.
Then I thought, how can you punch a whole page when the punch only goes so far? Not a problem according to Joan. Just punch strips then tape them together. Now why didn't I think of this?
Then there was Lori who wanted us to use peaceful leaves for the HYCCT challenge. No problem since I already had a leaf punch out.....details...
Sorry Joan, but I didn't use your idea of the taping strips together, at least not today. Instead I punched one leaf and used it to sponged several on white paper. You see, I was just doing a sample before work and liked it so much I used it for my tag.
Plus instead of a card I made a tag. Thought a shiny leaf tag would be cool to hold your spot in a book. So I put tinfoil on the tag and did an alcohol ink bg on it.
Cut my sample leaves out adding doodle lines before gluing it to the tag. Hand did the sentiment putting a little Zentangle on the letters. Cut them out and put them on the tag too. Found one loan punched leaf from the other day out of metal repair tape and put it on the tag to finish it off.
Well, hope you like what I did. I had a lot of fun....TFL :0)
Hi Sis!
P.S....put a Gelli Print on the back to cover it up.
