In the midst of summer's dog days, my thoughts turn to the cool relief & beautiful colors of autumn....
The autumn leaf embellishment on this card was made with watercolor paper, re-inkers, UTEE, gold beading wire, and a gold leafing pen. My 2012 embossed enamel autumn leaf can be found in my little gallery. One of the fun things about making these leaves is that each one is completely unique.
See complete how-to here in SCS' Tutorials section.
The text is a line from a short poem I penned about autumn:
"The air is crisp. The sky is clear. The trees are ablaze with color. As the lovely leaves of autumn fall, they dance with one another."
I would have liked to put the entire thing on there, but couldn't get it to fit. I formatted it on my computer and printed on cardstock.

Stunning card, I love how the sentiment is inside the frame and the stamping outside too. The embossed frames add so much to the beauty of this! Thanks for leaving me a sweet comment too. ~Diane

This is a stunning CAS design. Love the way the graceful lines of the delicate flourish provide the perfect base for for your amazing leaf (and the wire work - awesome!). I was thinking how cool it was that you had a stamped verse that fit the space around the leaf to perfection, then I read that you penned it yourself!!!! I am in AWE at your talent. Love everything about this card! Popping in to my favs to use as a study piece . TFS
