WooHoo it's Teapot time again and being the end of the month we get to tickle each other. The story this week is about Miss Jett Setter and her new Travel Agency in Teapotterville. We Teapotters, all 42,000 of us, are suggesting our favourite holiday destinations.
The Great Barrier Reef was mentioned in the story this week and that is where we find young Tilly. Sadly she had a nasty encounter with some coral whilst snorkalling. Her little legs have been stitched up, but she needs to rest for a while. So here she is (still not looking very happy) floating around in the resorts swimming pool.
If you look closely Tilly is starting to get a bit too much sun. I'm not sure if her legs are sunburnt or that her stitches are getting infected.
About the card, this is a stair step fold card (you didn't see that coming hey). I made the pool water by tearing teaxtured paper. Same thing was done for the palm tree trunk and sand. Tilly started out life as a Sassy Cheryl digi stamp. The floating tyre is red dp, white spots are handdrawn and outlined with a black micron pen. Tillys body and hair is with copics, the rest is paper pieced. I'm still struggling with coulouring hair, hopefully the teapot recipient can give Tilly a new hairdo.
The fence is an IO die, I hand-made the umbrella, palm tree, beach bag and towel with dp and cardstock. Liquid pearls were used on the sunglasses and stickles for nail polish.
Thank you for looking and have a great week everyone.

Oh my gosh, Susie, this is another work of genius. What a fun story you have for Tilly, and again the details are amazing. Love the torn paper pool and palm tree, and the beach towel blowing in the breeze.
However, Susie, you do realize that posting this story of disaster at the reef means you will never, ever, be able to apply for a job with the Australian Tourism Bureau, don't you?

Well Susie, this little gal needs to stop snorkeling, and maybe traveling isn't such a hot idea for her! Your card is darling, complete with the towel on the fence!! Great job....but I think I'll stay right where I am!!

Off to Australia! That suits me fine. We have great friends we met on a cruise we'd love to visit and of course I'd come and have tea with you. I'd have to use the floating device though 'cause I can't swim. This is super cute Susie. My sister has received 25 cards to date. She is going to send a picture of her standing with her kids and cards for me to post. The party was a wonderful thing for her. I will ask her next time we talk if she has received hers yet. When I got your PM I thought it was about something else which I'm surprised hasn't happened yet!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hee Hee Hee Susie! This little story about Tillie is so cute. Poor little thing with her sunburn and stitches. At least I hope it's sunburn and not an infection!! Such exquisite detail in your card. Have never maid a tri-fold card, maybe I will have to experiment with that someday. However.........if I'm lucky enough to receive this cutie.....I can check it out up close and personal
