I had an idea, found everything I wanted, and then the trouble began.
I couldn't get the cattails to punch out......I had to do a lot of snipping with my pointy scissors.
The bird punch was too big, so I had to get another one, and snip the birds off the wire.
The bg dp was perfect, but it didn't really go with the blue, so I had to add some bg color to change it.
The birds didn't look like birds, so I had to make teeny tiny wings, and add eyes. And of course, sponge those little suckers.
I put caribbean in the sky, and then had to add darker blue all around to get the darn color right......AGAIN.
I tied the bow upside down, and was lucky to get the twine to tie at all, after I found a big enough needle to poke it through the card (an afterthought). I also spilled the buttons.
Only took an hour and a half, and I'm NEVER doing this again. SO...you'd better like it!!!!!!!!!

Ha Ha! I love your story, Anne - it gave me a laugh and cheered me up on a decidedly gloomy Michigan day! And we have ALL been there! Your card is delightful, so it was worth the aggravation : )

Ha! Sounds like one of my normal card making sessions. All of the fussing was definitely worth it, your card turned out fantastic! Love the cattails and your little birds and your button adds the perfect touch.

Beautiful card, Anne! I love the little birds and cattails! You and I were on the same sentiment wave-length today! Some days stamping is frustrating--glad you stuck with it!

I love your card, so beautiful! I also own that die and I commiserate with you, I have yet to get a proper cut even with using waxed paper. Will have to look for those special plates, shopping can be such a chore ;-)

I hope whoever receives this card "likes" it-a whole lot too! You had me laughing pretty hard! You are a woman of such few words when it comes to explaining what you do, so I just had to read it all! So sorry you had such a tough day, but you made everyone else's day brighter in the process! Your bg ended up looking really nice with all those different colors, your cattails are wonderful, the birds look like real birds and the sky is perfect! I'd have to say it's a really nice card, Anne~

Anne, I can't imagine how much work went into this, but I can visualize it very well by your description!!!! But all of your struggles paid off........this is one gorgeous card!! Some days I wish I was like Samantha, and could just snap my fingers or wiggle my nose and wha-la, it would be done!!!! Cause this card would be SO worth duplicating!!!!
