This card is for our current Queen (QFTD133) Denise (aka resqbarbie). Denise - loved your gallery!! After a long visit I finally decided on this amazing beauty: {DeniseÂ’s GORGEOUS CAS card}
I love the original so much, it's so beautiful, but I had trouble with keeping it quite as CAS as Denise... Sooooo, I did keep the same layout and great design, just added an extra layer around the punched area.
This card is for one of my Nephew's in NJ - he loves the beach and even though we're back to school and into Fall I thought he'd like a little reminder of the summer LOL. The Crab was completely colored using various Ranger Stickles, the background was masked and sponged with three shades of blue, and the sand is a product made from wood, used for creating the look of SAND!!! This is my first time using it and I think it does kinda look like sand...???...
Denise - this was a fun card design, thanks for sharing your creations, and CONGRATS on your royalty status. Enjoy your week!
Hugs Everyone,
Audrey

This is just darling. I almost thought this was a shaker card at first because of the "fake" sand. How fun is that. Your stickled crab looks awesome. Beautifully done.

Oh, yeah, I remember the cute little sparkly crab now! Had a great time today. Guess what, I can't find my holly corner piece diecut - one of the ones I wanted to use the most. I've looked everywhere. So sad. I hope I find it. Last year it was you that lost a stamp, this year a diecut for me. I really hope I can find it. P.S. My light box came in today. Can you believe that - the show, my b/day presents and now the light box. I'm in crafter's heaven except I have no time to stamp - LOL!

I love how you followed the diamond/zig zag pattern throughout the card, Audrey! Even the crab's claws look sharp and pointed. And the sparkles on crabby are the best! Your sand is pretty cool too. The circle actually reminded me of inside a ship's room looking out one of those little circle windows into the ocean, so neat and so real to life!

Ha! This is ultra adorable. I have never heard of that wood product made to look like sand. It does look like it, too! Sadly, I know where there's lots of sand right now, thanks to Hurricane Sandy. :(
