Curt was afraid that the Teapot Gallery would be “lacking” color. Now don’t get him wrong, he knew there would still be some very beautiful cards, but not a lot of color. SO he knew he had his job cut out for him. Plus, if he made a little money on the side so be it. hehe……..confused???? Go here to see what I’m talking about……back to my card….
When my sister and I were growing up, if we had a party Dad always made sure there was lots of cake and ice cream. Curt is the same way. He heard there might not be enough cake for all the Teapotters so once again he decided to take it upon himself and just bake! bake! bake!
Always being in style, he first needed just the right outfit of a baker. So he made his colorful apron with the chevron bottom border, inspired by one of my sisterÂ’s Pinterest boards, and a baker hat which btw had to be bent to fit on this card! hehe He also made extras! So get you wallets out cause there will be a sale after the wedding. hehe
After making the delicious wedding cakes he proceeded to frost them with very colorful frosting. IsnÂ’t it funny how the heart topping looks like it could be his mouth. Hope he doesnÂ’t eat it! If the teapotters donÂ’t eat all his cakes they too will be for sale. Heck, we might have us a cake walk! Remember those???
Enough about Curt and his shenanigans, here is what I did…..for the colorful bg, I took glossy cs and dropped various alcohol inks on top moving them around with a straw and dauber. Then took the blending solution and blended. Stamped, that’s right, stamped the little love birds. After all this is supposed to be a “wedding” card. Oh, the cake was stamped too. Imagine that. Curt as usual was hand drawn.
Cut Curt out and put on my colorful bg popping up his bent bakers hat and tail. Put this on a gold card adding the black dots and checkered corners.
I know it is the backdoor for Curt and me for bring all this color. But he or we just couldnÂ’t help it! hehe Have a great Tuesday All! Â….TFL :0)Â….forgot, coloring on Curt was done with copics.

Giggle....I wish I could be at the wedding to see Curt in all his colorful glory dancing to the YMCA song. LOL! He'll definitely be the life of the party. Very cute, Cathy!

Well, Curt, I'm sure you're an excellent baker! You never know, you just might be the saving grace for the newlyweds...the supply of cake may dwindle. And every event needs color!
Oh that Curt is stealing the show again. Baking all those cakes in his designer duds! Kathy this is amazing as always. I love all the color and the fun story. Great card. Oh yea...congrats Grandma!!

With this colorful and unique scene, I just can't let you go in the back door.....I am not a petite person. so I'll meet you at the tree near the front door and you can hide in my shadow and go right in the front door......

Joanne you are so sweet! I really doubt tho, that you can hide Curt in your shadow!!! After baking all those cakes, and being a taster as he bakes, hehe, he has grown a few sizes if you know what I mean. hehe :0)

Cathy, it wouldn't be a teaparty without Curt's antics. Love the vibrant card!
