Judy picked a great challenge today...to distress the edges. I love distressing so no problem here....I embossed my background then painted over it with gesso and brown acrylic paint. The edges are distressed with the Tim H distressing tool and edged in vintage photo distress ink. I also distressed the black patterned paper and edged in mahogany. I dyed my seam binding with, what else, distress ink. I added some stickles on top of the ribbon. This also will qualify for the May theme of the month as it is a brown card.

Polly, you do "vintage collage" SO well. There is always so many wonderful details to take in when looking at one of your cards. Love this one in the pretty tones of red with black and off-white.

Your gorgeous ribbon and embellies drew me in, but your image, texture, papers and layout kept me going round and round this lovely card, each time finding some other delightful element. Beautifully done, thanks for making this and sharing it with us Polly!
