Mmmmm...for me, this "situation" usually involves rocky road. Today we celebrate one of my favorite Stampers of all time, Pat Rose (Kokirose) as Queen for the Day! Pat & I had been online buddies for a few years, and the first time I met her IRL, was like I had known her my entire life! Our "drive by" visit, turned into seven hours of visiting, hugging, and stamping. Pat taught me how to use my sewing machine, and to this day, my heart warms & I smile to think of her at my machine!
Today, I cased You're Tweet, and used the beautiful "Kokirose Wandering Stitch" to frame this sweet House Mouse (also a fav of Kokirose). His cone is covered in MS Chunky Glitter, and his eye has a smidgen of Crystal Effects to make it shine (the first sign of a food coma, ya know, glassy eyes!)
This card is a belated birthday greeting to a sweet friend, Lesley (Marleygo), who celebrated her birthday last Sunday. Sister, you know a Slacker card is full of love, right? The Twisted Sister challenge from two weeks ago was to make a child's birthday card, in the "out-of-the-box" format, and the TSC this week is to make a birthday card, focusing on ice cream and cake! Yum! Hope your birthday was the best! (And I promise to mail this by Christmas, really!)
Pat Rose, enjoy your reign as Queen and thank you so much for the talent and encouragement you share in this place. I love you dearly! (Mean it!) Hugs x2

Aww...what a SWEET card! I'm thinking it's a two scoop kind of card for sure, right? Two scoops are always better than one! I would just like to go into your stamp room and drool over all your supplies on hand! You always have the most beautiful LACE!
So how exactly do you stitch a wandering stitch? Is it a setting on the machine or do you have to move and weave and turn your card? Whatever it is, you and QFTD Pat, both have it down PAT of course! (Sorry, I couldn't resist!)

Well, if I counted right, this card hit on about 4 counts - FOUR!
First, for Pat Rose's new title - Queen for the day - you did her proud with one of her favorite HM images, the stitichin', and all the great memories of your visits and 'lessons' with the "Seamstress of the Gallery" - Congrats, Ms Kokirose!! you are the Queen!
SECOND, You have made marleygo, Ms Lesley. a VERY HAPPY WOMAN - knowing this BD card is on the way to her home! Hope she can stop dancing long enough to sleep!!
THIRD and FOURTH - you have completed the requirements for not ONE, but the last TWO of the TWISTED SISTAHS Friday challenges - AND done it with style, true slacker style - coming in late - with a grand entrance and meeting all the parts of the challenges - wow - doesn't get any better than that!
I stand in awe!!!! LOL Definitely worth the wait!!
PS - LOVE THE TITLE on your card! Food COMA?????? too stinkin' funny!

Wow Pat - this is a total cutie and Lesley will love it. You captured the sweet style of Pat with the meandering stitches, the sweet image, and warmth all over. This image never looked so good. Rocky Road was my favorite flavor from 1971 to about 2005 - it had a good run until I discovered Moose Tracks - LOL! Hugz and LYMI!
