Our challenge today is to make a card especially designed with the person's character in mind. I made this card for my mom. Seems like everyone says, "Your mother is so sweet." She's very special to me, and she absolutely loves flowers of any kind! I was the first to give her a dozen roses about 16 yrs. back! Anyhow, she adores purple, so this card fits her to a T! I used a '98 SU set called Hydrangea, 2-step stamping. I've never tried this technique called masking, so this is my first attempt. The hydrangea was stamped first on scrap paper, cut out, then stamped onto my card. I then did the masking with the leaves. Next, I did the same with the smaller flowers and leaves, but I cut all of them out so I could place them on the card where I wanted. Lastly, I stamped the flourishes and added itty bitty bg. I didn't think this card needed any ribbons or bows. Thanks so much for stopping by! ~Roberta
