For today's Way to Use it challenge Collette inspired us to create a collage. WHAT??? Okay, gotta do a little research here. Many times I have combined a stamp set or two but we had to use at least FOUR!! I'm feeling stressed, I mean challenged! And this is suppose to be fun, right?
I must admit, I did struggle. I wasn't sure if to stamp my images dark or light or even use the stamp off technique. I played around for awhile, probably too long, and this is what I came up with.
I started with a piece of Vanilla textured cs and stamped it with the Linen bg stamp inked in River Rock. Then I used the French Script bg stamp inked in River Rock and stamped over the Linen. I only pressed here and there on the stamp as I didn't want it to completely cover the cs. Then I used Mellow Moss to ink up a stamp from Very Vintage and made a little corner thingy; see in the lower left. Then I inked the open stem image from Wonderful Watercolors in Mellow Moss and stamped the two-step daisy's in Calypso Coral. I added water with the Aqua Painter to soften, then used a white gel pen on top of that to hopefully create reflection and depth. Next I stamped the butterfly from TPC Studio's collection in Black Stazon and watercolored it. Then I turned to stamps from Rustic Rooster and Elements of Style and randomly stamped here and there. I added the sentiment from Butterfly Collage. I mounted my collage on Basic Black and a Vanilla texured base. PHEW...I used enough stamps RIGHT?
I really enjoyed this technique but am not sure I like my creation. I think I was just being a big ole fraidy cat!!! LOL
TFL and I would really like your comments on this one. Hey, I never ASK for comments, I just appreciate the views of more experienced stampers!
Thanks ladies!! Have a wonderful day.

Robin, I'm there with you! : ) 4 stamps is a lot to put together....but you did it beautifully! Love how you colored the butterfly and flowers for added intert. Your composition is wonderful. I like the light and airy feeling.
