So fun to be playing in the challenges again ! Happy Sunday, and Happy Father's Day everyone!
This card is for this week's Queen - the one and only Vdutcher aka Vicki. She is one talented stamper - I love so many of your FAB creations Vicki and am so glad to be able to CASE one of them. I spent much time wandering through your gallery, deciding which masterpiece to choose, and I kept coming back to this one: {Grand Caliber Beauty}
Changes were with colors, card shape, nesties and embellishments. I kept the basic card design, which is using a grand nestie for the card as well as a framed image/design.
This card is also for my Uncle, for Fathers Day. This is his second Fathers Day since losing his wife of over 40 years. He loves my cards and always responds by sending a card and note back my way - the last card he sent to me was one he found in a store in the shape of a butterfly (too cute).
I don't think I've ever put a flower on a man's card before (although I've seen Pat Smether's do it FABULOUSLY) - so Pat, I was thinking of you when making this card - it's even in one of your favorite colors
All these fab leaves are from Cherry Lynn Designs dies - love them!
Thanks everyone for looking!
Congratulations Vicki - Enjoy your week!
Hugs,
Audrey

What can one say, but WOW!!! Audrey, you've outdone yourself on this one. You just keep getting better and better. You are leavin' zee twinzi in zee dust!! But, that's okay, let your talent shine. There are so may fascinating details to your card from the array of leaves, flowers, nesties and charm. The verse, of course, is perfect and your Uncle will cherish this. I do believe you have conquered Pat Smether's ability to put flowers on masculine cards. It especially helps with the addition of those fabulous leaves. I am "dumbstruck" - which isn't hard for zee fruitcake!! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it twinzi. I didn't like mine this week. I don't have much time, then I feel forced and it doesn't let my creativity flow, but you nailed it!!!
