Our challege with StampinB this week is hosted by Emily Keaton as follows:
TGIF Standing For:
T= Texture
G= Green
I= Iridescent, and
F= Anything that starts with an "F"
My texture is the ef on dsp and white matting
My green is on cardstock and coloring.
My iridescent is stickles on the cake stands and sparkly brads.
Now here comes the WEIRD part that only I can make claim to:
The "F" was used with my fabulous FRUITCAKES. NOT just ONE fruitcake, but THREE fruitcakes for my special friends who will, no doubt, attend my birthday party. I have to have enough to spread around to my guests. It's the gift that KEEPS ON GIVING, b/c there aren't many people who like it and they send it on to their family or friends; who, then throw it away or pass it on to one of their enemies. I think fruitcakes get a bad rap!
I have declared this National Fruitcake Birthday Card Week. Just as a background on this, I have been known as The Fruitcake for quite some time on the SCS site. The name was made up by our sometimes not precious Anne Ryan. I have adopted the name so as to not let her know it gets under my skin. Kind of like throwing it in her face. And, I'm darned proud of my name. She called me Fruitcake; but, I decided to distinguish it somewhat with "THE FRUITCAKE".
So, here's to all the fruitcake lovers out there or just the ones who are real "Fruitcakes". Probably not many of you are anxiously awaiting fruitcake at Christmas; but now it can be given at birthdays all year long. And, you all have Anne Ryan to blame for this. Maybe I'll send this to her for her birthday.
BTW, the fruitcakes and sentiment underneath are crooked, but I decided to keep them that way since I am, of course, The Fruitcake.
Another BTW, I printed this fruitcake from a site called fotosearch. They are at www.fotosearch.com. I had to find one quickly and hope it is okay I used their fruitcake photo. They do, however, have wonderful products there if you'd like to check them out.

You had me LOL, Pamzi!! This is great!! Love the sentiment and the great reminder that it can be enjoyed all year round Yup, we would not do well if we only had Fruitcake one season a year - we'd miss you horribly (((hugs))). Cheers to year round fruitcake!
