This card is for another one of the challenges issued to me from my SU demo (Donna W) for her Featured Stamper challenges for January for her blog. This challenge was: Choose a card from the mini to case........one that is featured for a different stamp set, use it to inspire you.....adapting it to the set you are using! I chose one of the cards on page 14 of the mini to CASE and used the Thanks for Caring stamp set.
This card is also for this week's Tea Party - I was so very warmly welcomed by the tea party crowd at last week's gathering in the 100 Acre Woods that it was without question that I would try and make it to the party again this week. Well, after listening to Owl (aka WOL) prattle on with 42,000 bits of information - not all of it was accurate either - I finally asked him for directions home from the woods. Well, somehow I wound up in a pretty garden full of flowers that were all a glitter with tiny little sparkles of gold. Not where I expected to be - but very pretty indeed. Before I knew it, there were teapotters everywhere, each of them stopping and sniffing every flower they saw. Quite a sight it was. And as everything in my 'real world' is under a deep blanket of snow and enveloped in positively icy temperatures, I decided to stop and smell the roses for a while myself. And that's all I have to say about that.
To get the flowers on my card to shimmer like the ones in the garden, I have spritzed them liberally with my trusty ~ but not dusty ~ bottle of Champagne Mist Glimmer Paint. I love the sparkle it adds!!! I once again printed my dsp using My Digital Studio and the Springtime Vintage download in the new SU mini.
PT: Yup, still using those punches!!
I've made two copies of this card - one for my demo to display, the other will go to Katie.

Oh my gosh, a beautiful and elegant card!! So glad you came back to party with us again - it is great fun! How did you get the inside of your card in the picture with the arrow - what a wonderful idea - but how did you do it? If you have time, could you drop a PM? Thanks so very much!!

Diz, wow, what a beauty. I so LOVE that new dsp. I would have already ordered from the mini, bu am waiting till Sale-A-Bration starts so I can get free stamps too. Now, that's pretty smart for a Fruitflake, don't you think? Your new way of uploading your cards with these fancy photo shoots is making my bathmat look a bit in bad taste!! Like it already wasn't????? Everything about your card is top notch and that ribbon/brad is so yummy. TFS my Dizzi Friend!

Where the heck have you been, girl? It's great to see you in the gallery and to see those tea partiers have stolen your heart. I hear they're a pretty fun lovin' group so watch yourself over there.

This is just so sweet. I am in love with this paper that has a shabby chic flair to it. How pretty this is. Your photography is magnificent. I love how you show all the elements in the card making example. Just brilliant!

Heather, this is such a delight to the eye and heart. Love your rounded corner on one side of the panel only. Cool and pretty papers too. TFS and for caring for Katie.
