Hi! This card fits three challenges this week! For the Stampin' B's, it's a Fall Card; for the Speedy's Friends Challenge, it's full of stripes; and for the Inspiration challenge it has stripes and colors found here in this wallpaper.
I'm really pretty wiped out. This week started with my mother breathing on her own. Then, she got an contagious infection at the hospital that required 3 blood transfusions. It was so horrible! She called me crying. I totally fell apart. My grandmother was here, and I just didn't know what to do. Finally, Friday, Mother could have visitors. She was so excited to see my father and grandmother. Then, about an hour there, my father got overheated and PASSED OUT! He was standing in the hallway and fell straight back. His head hit the floor first. So, needless to say, now BOTH my parents are in the hospital. It's very scary, because my grandmother is now FREAKING out! She's 85 and the healthiest of the lot! I'm calm and in "Marge in Charge" mode. I'm much better at that than then weak daughter mode...LOL
The background is strips of dp and papers. I stamped the focal image in Adirondack's Espresso and off-stamped twice. I colored in the focal image with Copics. (This set is a Sneak Peek for Tuesday's MFP Release!) The charm was pressed into VersaMark and embossed in Copper. I added in some piercing, Inssential dots and decorative brads.
Finished card size: 4 3/4" square
Total time to complete: 32 minutes

Ohhh, I feel for you with your parents in the hospital. A couple of years ago, my parents were both hospitalized with serious illnesses and I was in Indiana and they were in California. I made one trip out there and the rest of the time, I had to rely on phone calls to my brother and the nurses in the hospital. Don't hold it all in, Faith. I hope you are getting stress relief somehow. Hugs!
Your card is gorgeous. These colors are so pretty. This is a very pretty stamp set, and looks lovely with the rich colors. Awesome.
