Hi! This card fits the Ways To Use It Challenge: Scallops and the Stampin' B's Challenge: Paper Piercing. and the Free 4 All challenge: Holiday card.
Well, of course, things are a bit better today for us. Markie's school work is MUCH lighter now, after a parent/teacher/teacher/teacher/teacher/teacher conference! And, he's MUCH happier! (So happy I was an elementary school teacher not so long ago! Oh, okay...it was long ago...VERY long ago!)
And, Mother is now in Intensive Care where the nurse to patient ratio is 1 to 1! Yep...I think the phone call to the hospital administrator after the "mishap" of being told my mother DIED yesterday was explained, hurried that little decision. I'm so happy she AGREED with me.
On to the card...The scene was created by punching a hole in a scrap piece of paper. I used the scrap as a reverse mask and the Copic Airbrush with a LIGHT yellow and Gray/Green Copic for the moon. Next, I placed the circle over the moon as a mask and sprayed on a light blue/green, brown and then black Copic to create the sky and background. The images were stamped on with Adirondack Pitch Black. The stamp set is Broom Rides. I decided to use this as a FALL card, as I have a BUNCH of Halloween cards already made. I used 2 Martha Stewart punches, one is the fence, the other for the scalloped edge.
Finished card size: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Total time to complete: about 25 minutes.

Yikes! Faith, my goodness. I sure hope things start looking up with your mom now that she's getting 1:1 care.
Fabulous card. I love how you make your copic scenes.

This is very dark for you, Faith, but I really like the browns and blacks, and the plaid ribbon really ties it all together. (No pun intended!) I'm so glad things are better for MArkie and your mother!!!

I have more of your cards in "My Favorites" than anyones ... they all blow me away. I am happy to hear your Mother is getting better care ... I have learned from past experience you really need to take control of medical situations involving yourself and family to make sure they are given the optimum medical care they deserve and for which you are paying for by the way. TFS this beautiful card!
