Thaks so much Betty for inviting me to do a sample and for picking such a neat set of colours. They compliment each other so perfectly.
Marie was stamped and coloured in Copics to match the SU ink and paper that was used in the background. I used YG99 to match Always Artichoke, BG72 to match Marina Mist, and R30 with RV21 to make Blushing Bride. I used the T grays to colour her hair and the bird along with the BB colours. After I coloured her I cut her out.
For the BG pieces I embossed the lacey squares nestie onto Basic Black and then mounted a white corner rounded square sponged with Marina Mist into the center and on top of that I mounted a corner rounded square of Always Artichoke stamped with a Hero Arts BG stamp with AA sponged edges. The black panel was mounted on a second MM sponged panel after it was wrapped with lace. I mounted it all on a Basic Black card base and han wrote the sentiment. Lastly I added the white panel which was embossed with a nestie, cut out and the center sponged with MM onto the green panel and then mounted Marie and her bird and then hand wrote the setiment around the larger MM sponged panel. As a finishing touch I stamped and punched out the three flowers and mounted them behind Marie.
I thought that the nestie with white and MM sponged onto it looked like French molding on a wall and that was why I chose it.
Hope you like it and TFL!
