Hi! This card was made for today's Color Combo Challenge: Concord, (flower and ribbon), Pear (Sponged in dp), Peach (Background, squrriel). This card also fits this week's Speedy's Friends Challenge: Use 5. I used five gem stones. There are also five scallops. I also used gold string to tie on the charm.
The background was stamped in ginger. I then used my Copic Marker and airbrush to color that panel. The dp panel was sponged in with Hybrid Ink.
The leaves and Squirrel were colored in with Copics.
The Spellbinders Beaded Circle is new!
Markie still has more than 6 hours of homework to complete by Wednesday morning. The problem? He has SCHOOL TOMORROW! And, he fell asleep at the dinner table. That poor child is overworked with this kind of homework. After he read the 800+ pages, he re-read the work sheets. (All 15 of them!!!) And, he was supposed to FIND the 50+ vocabulary words and WRITE THE SENTENCE from the BOOK where they appeared! OMGosh! He found about 8 of them online in quotes, so that left about 50 more... That was at 8 AM. I told him to go ahead and work of the DEFINITIONS and writing his OWN sentences with each word, while I started researching "search" engines for e-readers. I looked at the Kindle, Sony, Nook and finally, the i-pad. I was pretty sure that the Nook was the best bet, as there were MANY free books, including the 2 he had to use for the work this weekend. Markie was seriously freaking out, as he couldn't find any of the words in the books manually. There were tears, threats of quitting the medical program, etc. I was ready to find where the teacher lived and find out why she assigned the READING FIRST, and THEN gave the kids the work sheets! YIKES!
We got to Best Buy and they didn't have anything BUT the i-pad...So, I have a new i-pad. Yeah....$683 for a reading assignment, in a PUBLIC school....I think I need a parent/teacher meeting!LOL

Wow, too much stress at such a young age. I do think the schools give way too much homework these days. Quitting the medical program? What is he doing?
This card is so lovely. Great purple flower with all the rich colors.

I love the rich warm orange bg with the seeds in it. Your coloring is great. I love the squirrel's peach colored tummy. I must say, these colors look great together.
