I am afraid I sort of copped out tonite and chose to base my inspiration on color. (Stephanie says that is okay in her directions.........so no poo pooing me!!) I tried, I really did, I even watercolored a different pic of an apple at first but was not happy with how it turned out at all.....so then decided to play chicken and be inspired by color only. So what better color to be inspired by then my fav baja breeze? I coupled it with Cherry Cobbler and it really does sing to me - this new combo!! I also colored my real red button with the cherry cobbler marker to get the color right on that. Hope you like this, and sorry for not being inspired to really recreate something exactly based on the IC.....last week I was totally inspired but this week.....I had to cop out. Okay, enough apologizing. OH, and the way I did this was to do emboss resist on vanilla cardstock with versamarker and clear powder, using a sponge to apply the baja breeze ink and then I ran the piece thru the Big Shot using the lattice embossing folder. I really like the way the texture looks on this technique. Hope you like the card!! (As Nancy Ruth would tell me, stop whining....harhar) Here was my inspiration:

Color is definitely okay for the inspiration when it produces such a beautiful work of art. I must agree, I like this one the best of your two - although they are both wonderful.

Love it. Love your idea to color the button with the marker! I like the Cherry Cobbler too, and Baja is my fav too!! I think Betty may have to use this for a color challenge. It's yummy!

Oh, pretty, pretty!!
And what need to apologise, Stef does always say that it doesn't matter where your inspiration takes you so long as you found it on the site.
