OMG...never again! Do you ever make a card where you have to REMAKE something more than once?...well, more than three times? On this one I did.
I remade the rectangular white panel...didn't like the scoring, didn't like corner rounding, didn't do the piercing even, didn't get the punch in the right place...
I remade the base card because I set it on the ink pad.
Grrrr...!
This has movement...it is a view master card. In case you don't know what that is, it has a spinning wheel with multiple images that show through a window. My tulip is one of those images. You can see the notched wheel that moves on the right side of my card about even with the top of the flowerpot. There are three more images on the wheel.
I got the general idea for the shape of this card from one that Debbie Olson did quite a while back. I don't have a link to it since I had it saved on my computer. The bottom edge is created by tracing around a cd.

Quiltzi, I can certainly understand your frustration with making this card--I've been there (and so have many of us, I'm sure)! But you ended up with a STUNNING result--so very creative and colorful and WONDERFUL!! I know the recipient of this card will be over-the-top impressed with it. A day-making card, for sure!!

Wow! Kudos to you for trying the 'view master' kind of card. That is one I will NEVER try! LOL! And about setting your card on the ink pad...been there. SUPER frustrating! Still, after all your angst, this is a sweet card.

Just lovely!! I haven't tried this yet. Love the soft colors...and yes...I, too, belong to the 3x is the charm card club. I have the bumps on my head from banging it on the wall to prove it. LOL

OK.. now I have to try this technique. However, I think I'm going to need a lot of goes getting the centerpiece right. I also love the fact that you rounded the bottom corners. Fabulous job, Diane!

Great result - sticking with it certainly paid off for you! Very striking look to this card - and the fact that it's a Viewmaster card takes it over the top! Great work! RYPH
