After months of talking about it, my sister and I finally picked a night to get together and make some cards. She arrived, we made tea, commented on the miserable wind that evening and headed into my "Rubber Room". Hadn't even managed to pick our cardstock and the power went out!! For four hours. Not to be deterred by a lack of light and the awful sounds of what became a raging blizzard outside, we got out some candles and set to the task at hand. We were pleasantly surprised that our paper/cardstock/ink and cards all looked pretty decent when we could actually see them.
So, here are my "cards by candlelight"...
For this one I coloured on my stamp with watercolour crayon, spritzed it and stamped. Background is done with a Spellbinders Impressabilities. This card is totally CASED from a card by darleenstamps that you can see here.
Thanks for stopping by!

Wow! Fabulous work - and by candlelight too! I love the watercolour effect on your flowers, and all the beautiful punched shapes as well! How lovely to spend that time creating cards with your sister. I bet neither of you will forget that evening - when you're 90+ you'll be saying to each other 'do you remember when we made cards all evening by candlelight?'! Such a lovely shared memory.

Izzy...did you have some torches or something burning in that room??? How could you possibly be making all these b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l cards by one stinking little flame!!!! This is so sweet and adorable. I love how soft and feminine it is. Great to see you punch total too!!!lol

Heather, I have not kept up with your gallery either. This is gorgeous! I love this set and rarely use it -- guess I need to get it out too! Lovely colors!
