Happy Saturday and Happy Valentine's Day everyone!
This card is for 3 challenges: IC167, LSC27 and WT205. The Limited Supplies Challenge was to use something you don't typically use. Since I have a healthy stash of buttons from my days of sewing, I'd like to use more buttons on my cards ... hence the buttons. The Ways to Use It Challenge beckoned us to use fabric on a card, so I stamped the message on a small piece of linen and frayed it a bit. Today's Inspiration Challenge called us to be inspired by Artful Bras. I chose the Buttons and Bows Bra found on this page: http://www.quiltersofsc.org/artfullbras/artfullbras.htm
I stamped a background stamp on pearl cs, moving the stamp just ever so slightly so as not to create a crisp image. I topped that with clear embossing powder. This image sets on top of mulberry paper stamped with the same bg stamp. I wanted the contrast between the earthy mulberry paper and twine to the pearlescent paper. Not sure if it translates so well in the photo.
The buttons have accents of Kreinik metallic braid because they just looked too plain and lonely without it!
Thanks for the challenges and thanks for looking!

What a wonderful creation here! Love all your buttons. Love your stamped bg and how you did it. Your frayed fabric is beautiful! Just a lovely card! TFS :0)

I like your twine knot much more than I liked all the ribbons on the bra. I was thinking of you when I decided NOT to try stamping on fabric on Thursday, I was thinking you probably would. I really like this, it has such a textured look but is still very soft and subtle.
