TLC200 - Faux silk with a pop ...
Stamped image in rose on white & cut out just the flower tops. Glued them onto rose c/s and set aside. (I wanted a fuller looking bouquet, so stamped 2 images worth for the 'pop'.) Stamped image on tissue paper with rose red, olive green & set aside to dry. Crumpled tissue paper tight & then applied glue stick to entire rose c/s w/image, put tissue paper over & tapped the paper down so as to not smooth out tissue too much. I punched 2 holes by the stems so I could add the ribbon in later.
Cut image panel, matted on white then burgundy & bumped up on dimensionals after tying ribbon. Base is rose red with rose DP cut in 1/2 & flipped. White was a little too bright, so I added pink mulberry paper.
Sentiment is stamped on white, stippled with rose & matted on burgundy circle.
What a great technique. I've got 3 others in the wings that aren't assembled yet. There's a lot of down time where you need to let the glue stick dry before assembling, so I was able to keep going & going & going ...
Thanks for looking
(ETA: Just noticed after looking at picture in gallery ... I think I must have rubbed some of the tissue off when I was tying the bow ... that blob of rose showing through by the stems shouldn't be there)
