I'm playing along with the Mix-Ability (215) challenge today. Thanks to MariLyn for choosing one of my videos as the inspiration for the challenge. Ghosting is a fun technique!
I sponged green and blue ink over my skeleton leaf stencil using my new Clarity brushes ... they are awesome. They add a little colour at a time, so you build by adding layers and never have to worry about getting a dark spot, which sometimes happens with sponges.
I splattered water over my leaves, left them for a few seconds and then blotted with paper towel. It leaves a subtle ghosted look of raindrops.
A vellum sentiment banner was added as it wouldn't cover up the pretty leafy background. A few drops of glossy accents add more raindrops.

This is gorgeous Loll! I love the subtle look of the water drops on your piece. And the vellum sentiment works perfectly for this type of bg....really shows it off. Thanks for the video...I'll be checking out more on your website

The combination of the glossy accents drops along with the ghost ones is just super. I like the idea of stencilling and having the stencil in place while adding water - the white base gives the contrast which, for me, was lacking from my tries.

There you go, the true master of this technique!!! I loved your tutorial and you made it look very simple. I have been challenged today and created more mess than card. I'm still playing. Your card is beautiful with the blues and greens. I love the subtle ghosting you created. A true beauty. Thank you very much for your tutorial and you sample here.

Love the vibrant blues & greens in your leafy bg. Vellum is the perfect addition as I wouldn't want to cover those up either! Many thanks for the really easy to follow video - it made this challenge extra fun.
