Man, CAS cards are so hard for me! You have to keep your fingers so clean to avoid the littlest smudge, and my fingers are notoriously inky. :P I was inspired by Katlyn's beautiful sun/moon image here: Praying for You by K. Joy at Splitcoaststampers, and I loved the way she added a black line around her sentiment. Such a beautiful layout and sponged scene, Katlyn - thanks for the inspiration! Design tip: we read the words from left to right, and the geese are also flying from left to right (towards their destination). That, combined with the horizontal black lines, adds a sense of forward movement to the card; perfect for someone who is moving ahead in their life (a birthday, a graduation, weight loss journey, new job, retirement). TFL!

My.....this is as stunning as your inspiration piece. They are both beautiful. I know what you mean about the smudges though, I have a lot of cards with sequins or rhinestones covering them.

Naomi, your CASE is stunning - I love the colours of the sky and the ducks in flight are a fab twist of the original card!
I can SO sympathize with your inky fingers and smuge problem - been there, done that, many times!!!
