This is for todays Feastured Stamper challenge and Carol -HB is our inspiration artist. I really enjoyed surfing through her gallery. Here is her card that inspired me Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
I just purchased Sun-Ripened off of Ebay and couldnt wait to play with it. I loved Carol's simple layout and double matted and torn layers. I had to stamp mine in stazon instead of embossing as my fingers were just itching to paint the images. I used Cranberry, Olive and Barely Banana to paint the images and then sponged a layer of Banana all around the image to make it pop. I added light touches of Iridescent Ice to the leaves and berries but doubt it shows on the scan. I wanted to badly to get that contrast of beautiful red berry with the hint of dewey white overcast that wonderful fresh berries have. I used Cranberry and Saffron cardstock for the layers. I used Flannel Plaid and Canvas for my bgs and stamped the sentiment with Bravo Burgundy craft ink and embossed with clear ep. I used a beloved piece of retired Cranberry grosgrain that I seem to want to hoard.
Edit: Cindy-Mothermark- wrote and asked how I got my torn layers so perfectly aligned as I forgot to state it in my original description. I actually did not tear them. I held both layers together and cut them at the same time with my deckle scissors and then roughed them up to look torn. I guess it's a bit of a cheat but.....whose keeping track!

Such an elegant card with these rich colors! You bring things to life with your beautiful watercoloring; the soft sponging of the barely banana does make it all pop. I can see why you'd want to hoard that gorgeous ribbon, too, but this beautiful card does beg for it.
