Here is my card for Julia's sewing card.
I admit I did not sew this because I don't even own a needle and thread. I had some stitched handmade paper in my stash. I really hope this qualifies cause if it doesn't the I will have missed just one of the challenges.
I used one of my favorite Penny Black images for this card.
The handmade paper was a little on the yellow pale yellowy side for my CC so I took some TH DI in Antique Linen and sponge on some color to make it more like the So Saffron that I used as one of my colors.
I had to wrap this paper around a piece of cardboard because once I cut the stitching on the edges was coming undone.
I sponges some of the same TH's on my main image panel so that the Very Vanilla didn't stand out so much.
I used a sentiment from Flourishes Many Sentiments and the butterfly from Butterfly Moments.
There are three layers to the butterfly, once stamped on the paper, once in the So Saffron and just part of the wing in More Mustard.
I left the rest alone because I thought on this card less is more and I didn't want to cover up the neat sewing on this paper.

You sneaky little thing you. I wish I'd thought of that before I spent over an hour digging out my sewing machine. This is a great looking card though so we just won't tell anyone.
