I made this for this weeks sketch challenge SC186, Ways to Use it challenge WT176 - negative thoughts, DTGD08 Lauren - monochromatic, DTGD08 Christine - masculine. One of my co-workers is retiring next week - he is a mechanic - thought this would be the perfect image to use for his card. Vintage car image stamped with stazon jet black on whisper white, coloured with prismacolor pencil crayons and gamsol. I used clear embossing fluid on the windshield and headlight to give them a glossy finish. masked the car and stippled around it with black, doodled around the image and sponged edges. Main card was stamped with sanded bg in black ink. I used a piece of aluminum from a pie plate and ran through the cuttle bug, matted with black. added the brads. Ran a strip of black through the bug used the negative side and rubbed a silver metallic rub on over it. Added the photo corner and brads. Made the sentiment on the computer. used the 1 1/4" circle punch and a circle nestability to mat it. Inked up the edges of the card with basic black

Wow, Patricia, you really rocked these challenges! I instantly thought of the DD '08 masculine challenge when I saw your card--I have had a creative block on that one since it came out, grrrr. I hope your inspiring card rubs off on me-I need it! I love the monochromatic look and CBing that aluminum pie plate is genius and a FAB look! AWEsome work, tfs!
