The challenge here was to select a poem as inspiration and create a card based on that poem. There are many poems about birds and bird nests. One of the shortest is a poem from a biography of Laura Ingalls Wilder, which she quoted to her intended, Almanzo, as he was deciding what to call her.
Elizabeth, Elspeth, Betsy and Bess
Went over the river to seek a bird's nest.
They found one with three eggs in it.
They each took one and left two in it.
I did a lot of sponging on the edges of the cardstock to keep the look of the card softer and to help the colors blend a bit better. Thanks for looking.
