The inspiration piece for Saturday's challenge was fabric from an interior design company. I was inspired by these patterns and colors: Forums at Splitcoaststampers
I made something a little different. I wanted to make a memento of sorts, for my Grandmother. She has gone through a lot in the last 4 years, since she lost my Grandfather. This is the plaque I made. The sketch is from Friday Sketchers Blog http://fridaysketchersblog.blogspot....nsored-by.html
I think daisyd's papers always make me think of fabric, so maybe that is why I used them. They are rich in color and have a bit of a vintage look to them.
The Circle is actually a metal piece that I covered in paper. I thought it would be a nice way to attach a photo with magnets, that way the photo can changed too. The bird in flight image is a magnet, so it can be moved around. The rhinestone is atop of a strong magnet as well.
The photo is of my young grandparents holding their firstborn - my Mom!
Thanks so much for taking a closer look!
Hope you like it too!
