For some reason, whenever I think of the Cracked Glass Technique, I think of a sympathy card. I also think of the Soft Subtles color family.
My card base is Perfect Plum with a layer of Pale Plum next. The main panel is Whisper White cs stamped randomly with the flowers, leaves and butterfly from the Watercolor Garden set. I used Perfect Plum, Pale Plum, Garden Green, Lovely Lilac, Not Quite Navy, and Rose Red to complete the garden. Some of the flowers were stamped off once before stamping onto the panel for some depth. I added the sentiment with Perfect Plum and then did the crackling technique. Here's a tutorial for the technique. Cracked Glass Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers I finally added some organdy ribbon to finish it off.
If I were to do the card again, I'd sponge some Perfect Plum ink into the cracks to age the panel a bit. Oh well, there's always next time.
