This was my first try in using our Metallic Pencils for a resist card. It works....but I buffed the card to hard and got some of the color off. Next time I have to be more gentle.

Beate, this is lovely! My little clown buddy just arrived for his stay at my house!! Can't wait to get going this weekend. I do have a question about the crayon resist technique though - In what order do you do the different elements? For example on this card, do you cover the entire clown with crayon, then sponge the ink color, then rub off the crayon and color with the metallic pencils? Not sure exactly how to do this - help!! (I can't believe how much I have grown to love this little guy - I have such a soft spot for him now!!)

You stamp the clown, let it dry and then color him in with the metallic pencils. Dab your color on with sponges and just dab (not rub as hard as I did) over the clown with a paper towel to remove excess ink. That's the cool part. No crayon needed. Well...I did use the white crayon on his hands and face since I didn't want it to be eggplant purple. The pencils do the resisting. Just be gentle. Our clown friend likes that better. LOL

This card is stunning in person. The metallic pencils give him great personality! And I left him with Beate. Picked up the friendly Frenchie, and left her with the clown. More good things to come from Beate with Clownie soon!

That's not even the "real" name. Think worse, way worse. LOL We are bad and we know it. LOL
We were stamping our journals for Tulsa with Friendship's Journey and made up a story for her. We would have to send you the story to your private email. I don't know if we can dare....you might not speak/post to us ever again. LOL
