This was for LSC166, Spotlight on Circles.
When I started, I was going to use Big Flowers and punch out apertures and suspend the flowers in them...so all that came of that is the Little Flowers are in the same case as the Big ones, and I found some BG Infuse paper I don't even remember noticing before.
So...I stamped the HA swirly stamp on plain paper - I should have embossed it, but I didn't so I had to go over it all today with Sakura Clear Glaze pen to lift it a bit. With the punched out circles from the paper, and the muted heritage colours it reminded me of the last crewel embroidery I did, which was a tree of life. So I got out my hare stamp and put a row of them along the bottom. I stamped Little Flowers and punched them out and popped them up on top of the circles punched from the paper. I stamped two little owls and punched them out and popped them up too, ditto the sentiment. I rubbed the edges of the first layer quite heavily with gold Encore and embossed it, matted on to green Bazzill and did a very thin embossed gold edge on that before mounting the whole lot on wine/burgundy Bazzill. It does still remind me of crewel embroidery now it's done, so at least I achieved my goal even if I totally strayed from my original concept!! If I did it again, I think I'd do the hares on half-circles, but I wasn't sure would they count in the challenge.
