My dad, brother, and I make an annual fishing trip in the fall; they both fish, and I dawdle along behind snapping photos. The last time we went, Dad wanted me to gather up a big trout he had caught and toss it on the bank so that he could remove the hook and throw it back. Well, if you've never tried to grab a fish, you're in for a big surprise! Those babies are slimy! I kept dropping it and shreeking, "Eek! It's slimy!"
The fish and water were watercolored. The water has Crystal Effects on it, and the fish has Star Dust Stickles on it to imitate the trout's sparkle. Edges were distressed and sponged with Close to Cocoa. So Saffron panel was stamped with Lots of Thoughts in the same ink, with "Happy Birthday" from Warmest Regards stamped in Choc Chip over the top. The cattails were stamped in black and colored with markers. All edges, except the Choc Chip paper, were sponged with Close to Cocoa.
I loved dlounds' card for this sketch challenge. Wonderful sketch!
